Log Cabin Progress
September 3, 2005
The end of this weeks brings us to a point that is amazing to say the least. The roof is nearly complete and all of the help (15 in all) we had scheduled over the summer, plus some unexpected helpers, has come to an end. It is just mind boggling how all of this came together - it is obvious to us that God has his hand on this project.

This was the end of Joe's time with us. Together we worked through many challenges on the roof that were the result of the complexity of roof and the various sizes of the logs. It was great to have him extra days before he took off to Denali Park.

A wonderful surprise was to have two good friends, Dan and John, from Fairbanks call to say they were coming down for a few days to help us get the roof done. The day we had four guys working it was amazing the difference it made when you have big boards (24 foot) up on high places. Then to make matters better we had an earlier helper, Harry, return for the day.

The insulation is scheduled to be blown in this week and the tin is on site so with God's grace we'll have it capped at this time next week.
