Log Cabin Progress
June 25, 2005
It started out as a rainy week, in fact we lost a day of work on Monday due to the extreme rainfall - 2.2 inches in 48 hours. However, by Friday evening we had completed round 6. Don Watson is near the completion of his two weeks in Alaska. Harry, Cody, Charlie and Kyle continue to be valuable help as we move up the walls. Level six is over Jill's head so most of the work of scribbers, scarfers, and notchers is done off platforms. Then the logs are moved down for sanding and cutting.
We treated Kyle to an evening of culture by taking him out to the Dave & Floyd show, followed by the Pancake Toss at the Sourdough Campground. Just like his squirrel hunting, he made the pancake 1st toss. His photo will now remain in the Sourdough Hall of Fame.
