It was both a productive week and a sad week. On Monday Gary left and Geno & Steve arrived. On Thursday Jesse, Steve and the twins left ;-( Terry and Kaleigh left on Friday to travel to Anchorage to pick up a friend of theirs who will be visiting for a week. They will be back home Sunday night after a few days of playing Alaskan Tourist.
Gene arrived with two coolers of fresh halibut that he caught with his cousins. Jill spent a day and a half vacumn sealing it. Production on our building project seemed to be at a peak this week with all that we got accomplished on the shop.
Dan, nicknamed "Moose" by Geno when he single handed saved a shop wall when we were standing it up, has been busy for the last two weeks running the sawmill.
Terry has been busy mixing cement to pour the apron and cutting truss materials. Kaleigh had a busy week taking on giving Denali a bath one day, then being in charge of dinner for 13 the next day. She made a good dinner and awesome dessert.
Gene jumped right in and started laying out trusses and keeping us straight on getting the walls layed out just right. He's gone fishing with Dan most nights and caught a number of grayling.
It's amazing where we ended up this week when you figure we just finished pouring the slab a week ago.
It was tough having the twins leave. Jill and I certainly got very attached to them. They have such a sweet personality and connect with you as hold them and talk with them. We are excited to go back and see them and our other grandkids in September.
